Island peak, locally called Imja Tse is one of the most phenomenal expeditions in the Everest Region. At a height of 6,173 meters, Island Peak offers climbers the chance to get close-up views of numerous higher peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and others. This expedition also covers the whole of Everest Base Camp trek, which gives the climbers a sense of inspiration to complete the renowned Island Peak. This isolated and less climbed peak in the Everest region is a best choice for the adventurers who want to make it up to the summit of mountains once in their lifetime. Compared to other higher peaks in Nepal this expedition is slightly easier, however for the inexperienced this a very challenging journey. But rest assured, because we have just the right experts and guides to make your journey safe and comfortable. Be sure to keep exercising before at least 3-4 months before the journey and stay fit.

Island Peak expedition starts with a trek preparation at Kathmandu. We take a short flight to Lukla and our expedition officially kicks off. Passing through many remote villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Pheriche and Lobuche we first explore the world-famous Everest Base Camp. After trekking back to Pheriche and onwards to Chukkung village we reach Island Peak Base Camp on 12th day of trekking. On 14th day after the trek kicks off, and the weather conditions works on our favor you’ll have officially conquered the Island Peak summit. Except from the mountains, the trek is also full of other adventures such as unique taste of local Nepalese foods, Sherpa Settlements, Cultural Sightseeing, Nepalese vegetations and a lot more.

Trip Highlights
  • Climb the popular Island summit.
  • Admire the splendour of Gokyo Valley's serene blue lakes.
  • Pass through the Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La Passes.
  • View peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and others up close from Kala Patthar.
